The CEE is a resource that connects people and ideas. We
facilitate
the sharing of information and expertise on travelling exhibitions
among the arts and heritage community.
We create the link between borrowers and lenders of exhibitions
in Canada and around the world. We help build networks and
provide
a forum to address the needs and concerns of those involved
in the travelling exhibition profession.
Our strengths are communication,
expertise and experience.

The CEE can provide expert advice and information on:
- availability of
sites
- scheduling and
tour planning
- potential partnerships
- technical support
(installation, dismantling, and decommissioning)
- assessment and
coordination of shipping requirements
- exhibit policies
and procedures
- contractual services
- costs
- design, production,
packing, and crating
- advertising/promotion to potential customers
The CEE can also put you in touch with experts on exhibit
design, technical support, shipping, packing, crating, and
preservation/conservation of artifacts.

The CEE is a collaboration between the Department
of Canadian Heritage
(including the Heritage
Branch, the Canadian
Conservation Institute, the Exhibit
Transportation Services, and the Canadian
Heritage Information Network), and the Canadian
Museums Association and its Exhibition
Exchange Special Interest Group.
These partner organizations bring to the CEE a thorough knowledge
of museum networks along with expertise in the preservation
of collections, the preparation of exhibitions, the packing,
crating and shipping of heritage material, and the management
of heritage information.
With everything from online databases to custom management
services, the CEE is Canada's centre of excellence for travelling
exhibitions.
